Indonesia is home to many unique animal species. One of them is the famous Komodo Dragon (Varanus komodoensis) which is the largest lizard living on earth. The biggest ones can reach over 3 m in length (the record specimen was 365 cm long) and weight about 150 kg.
These lizards were first found in 1910. Due to its dangerous appearance, size, sharp claws and speed are called Comodo Dragons.
